Kathleen has been patient and understanding focusing on clarifying our individual preferences and helping us understand the realities of the local marketplace in terms of pricing and availability.

 

She worked tirelessly to identify and show us several homes that reflected some of our preferences.  This gave us the opportunity to understand the natural trade-offs involved given the dynamics of the local market at the time (strong demand with limited supply). As we were relocating from New Jersey, the 3000 mile distance might have posed a huge problem. However, Kathleen was very responsive in following up leads and preferences that we were able to develop via the internet and she kept us constantly informed via email on the results of our continuing search.

 

When we selected the home we wanted to purchase, Kathleen sprung into high gear as an active partner in a challenging inspection and negotiation process. Since we were new to this state, Kathleen's advice was very helpful in avoiding timing issues and ensuring we met every obligation in  the escrow process  in a timely manner.  She had access to the financial and legal expertise that we required and was proactive in providing such information to us.

 

Kathleen's interpersonal skills were very effective in handling the difficult discussions as well as helping us keep our focus on the ultimate goal: to obtain the house we wanted with full knowledge and at a reasonable price. Additionally, Kathleen was able to find us a local New Jersey real estate professional who was able to market and sell our home very quickly with limited hassle to distract us.

 

In conclusion, Kathleen's thorough professionalism and sensitive interpersonal skills helped us through the rough patches to a successful conclusion. Today we are happier than we expected to be in our new home and are proud to count Kathleen as our friend.

 Selling your home under the best of circumstances can be very stressful. Unfortunately due to a divorce last year I was forced to sell my home in the Pacific Palisades.
